What is Vertigo?
Vertigo is the sensation of spinning or swaying while the body is actually stationary with respect to the surroundings. The effects of vertigo may be slight. It can cause nausea and vomiting and, in severe cases, it may give rise to difficulties with standing and walking.
What kind of treatment is there for Vertigo?
There are different kinds of vertigo and varying reasons for having vertigo. Your healthcare provider including your chiropractor can diagnose what kind of vertigo you have. One kind common kind of vertigo that responds well to treatment is BPPV (benign positional paroxysmal vertigo). At Westside Chiropractic we use the Epley Maneuvers to treat BPPV with good success.
