Contemporary Medical Acupuncture (CMA) is a modern approach to acupuncture that applies evidence-based concepts to relieve pain, alter movement patterns, advance healing and improve performance. It is a precise nerve stimulation technique, in which fine solid needles are inserted into specific anatomical points and stimulated manually or with electricity for the therapeutic purpose of modulating abnormal activity of the nervous system.

Electro-acupuncture is a very powerful technique of “neuromodulation” or regulation of the nervous system. It is a technique that consists of sending a gentle electrical impulse through the acupuncture needles to the body.

The scientifically proven benefits of acupuncture include pain relief, inflammation control, improved blood flow, stress reduction, improved nerve conduction, addiction control, as well as improved organ function.
